Monday, September 19th 2022, has been declared a day of remembrance in the province of British Columbia. Public schools, post-secondary institutions, and most Crown corporations will be closed for the day. Private-sector businesses and organizations have the choice to recognize the day as they see fit.

As this is not a statutory holiday, employers are not obligated to give their staff the day off or extra pay for working on the 19th.

The Prince George Chamber of Commerce will be open and operating at our usual business hours on September 19.
